When it came time to revamping their website, Partners in Building turned to Wild Web Studios (again) for a fresh new look and feel along with better search engine optimization (SEO) and social networking. The long wait is over - Wild Web Studios proudly presents the new and improved PIB website - complete with a state-of-the-art, simple to use content management system (CMS) that makes use of an edit-in-place feature allowing PIB employees to make changes to the website with the greatest of ease. Gone are the days of clumsy administration systems that do nothing more than confuse and frustrate our clients. We have had enough. That's why we created the Wild Web CMS. We won't go into detail about how great it is here - we'll let you speak to our customers for that!
Some of the enhancements to the site over previous versions:
- Complete SEO friendly design. Even though the site is fully database driven - a common visitor wouldn't know it. Moreover, search engines find the structure both easy to follow and fast to index.
- Integrated Blog. The new site has an integrated blog that is connected to both Twitter and Facebook. Blog entries are added the same as other items on the site - so there is nothing new to learn for PIB employees.
- Web Service Connector. This separates sensitive record management from the public website making the PIB website more secure and less prone to attack. In addition, the database backend is written in ASP.net while the public website is PHP. There are clear advantages to both platforms - but having the flexibility to separate the two is a major leap forward.
- New look and feel with popup windows that keep the visitor focused on the information longer. No more jumping to another page to request information or sign up for seminars. These tasks are performed on the same page.
- Cutting edge Content Management System (CMS). PIB can change virtually any page on the site without knowledge of web design and development. This feature is projected to save PIB more than $10k/yr in maintenance fees alone.
